Ghanaian gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy, recently revealed in an interview that she received confirmation from God before deciding to divorce her ex-husband, Isaac Twum-Ampofo.
During the interview on TV3, Ohemaa Mercy shared that amidst the challenges in her marriage, she spent three months praying to God for direction. She emphasized that she only proceeded with the divorce after receiving a clear confirmation from God.
The ‘Wobeye Kese’ singer expressed that she has witnessed a stronger presence of God in her life since the divorce compared to when she was married.
Ohemaa Mercy also disclosed that her ex-husband understood the need for a break in their marriage and encouraged her to fully commit herself to God’s work.
While her decision has sparked conversation on social media, with some referencing Biblical scriptures on divorce, Ohemaa Mercy remains steadfast in her faith and grateful for the divine guidance she received.
Prior to this interview, Ohemaa Mercy had kept silent about her divorce, leading to speculation within the music industry.
The gospel artist, known for her annual Tehillah Experience event, was married to Isaac Twum Ampofo, who also served as her manager during their marriage.
