Nigerian music icon 2baba, renowned for hits like ‘African Queen,’ has rarely been one to seek attention through controversy. However, in a surprising turn of events, the 49-year-old singer recently took to Instagram to declare his love for Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, sparking a frenzy among fans and followers.

The post, which has since been deleted, featured 2baba pleading with his followers to help him convince Natasha to marry him. This confirmation of their rumored relationship came after speculation arose following 2baba’s visit to the Edo State House of Assembly earlier this year.

Despite the public display of affection, Natasha’s spokesperson was quick to deny any involvement in the dissolution of 2baba’s marriage to Annie Macaulay-Idibia. The announcement of their split came shortly after their 13th wedding anniversary celebration.

In a series of surprising moves, 2baba has been unusually transparent about his romantic life, openly sharing details with his fans only to delete posts shortly after, leaving the public confused and curious.

Natasha Osawaru, born on 14 November 1994, is a prominent figure in Edo State politics. Serving as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency, she is an advocate for youth empowerment, education, and women’s rights.

With a background in law and film production, Natasha has actively worked to improve the lives of her constituents through various initiatives and sponsorships.

Despite her efforts, Natasha’s political career has not been without controversy.

In June 2024, she was asked to leave a plenary session for violating the dress code by wearing dark glasses, sparking a debate about decorum and gender bias in politics.
