Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has recently issued a stern warning to social media critic VeryDarkMan.
The warning comes amidst a legal dispute between the two, triggered by a leaked audio recording involving crossdresser Bobrisky.
In the leaked audio, Bobrisky alleged that Falz and his father, Femi Falana, reached out to him while he was in prison at Kirikiri Correctional Centre to aid in securing a presidential pardon.
The shared audio by VeryDarkMan on social media sparked widespread reactions online.
In response to the controversy, Falz took legal action, clarifying that it was actually Bobrisky who had contacted him for financial assistance.
During an interview on the Afro Beats podcast, Falz addressed the issue publicly for the first time, criticizing VeryDarkMan for making baseless claims without evidence and not offering a public apology.
Falz expressed his dissatisfaction with the critic’s behavior and warned that he would face the consequences of his actions.
He mentioned that there is a criminal angle to defamation, but he chose not to take that route. Instead, Falz demanded that VeryDarkMan take down the false post and issue an apology within a specified timeframe.
Falz emphasized that if VeryDarkMan continues to seek trouble, he will not hesitate to engage with him legally. The rapper highlighted the critic’s failure to apologize and implied that he would not tolerate such behavior.
