Liam Payne, a former member of the popular boyband One Direction, has tragically passed away at the age of 31 in Argentina. Reports from the police indicate that he fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires.
Authorities were called to the hotel after receiving an emergency call about an aggressive individual who appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Upon arrival, a loud sound was heard in the hotel’s inner courtyard, where Payne’s body was found.
Just a few weeks before his untimely death, Payne had attended a concert in Argentina featuring his former bandmate Niall Horan. As part of One Direction, he achieved immense success with the group’s chart-topping albums and singles before they announced a hiatus in 2015.
Following his time in the band, Payne embarked on a solo career and had notable hits such as “Strip That Down” and a collaboration with Rita Ora on “For You” from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.
He also garnered attention for his personal life, including his marriage to Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole and their son Bear, before their separation in 2018.
In the days leading up to his death, there were social media claims about Payne’s behavior towards previous partners, with reports of legal action being taken to prevent him from contacting their friends and family.
