A couple’s vacation turned into a tragedy when a wife was found dead during a hunting trip. Bianca Rudolph’s death was initially believed to be an accident, but further investigation revealed a more sinister truth.
Bianca Rudolph, a 56-year-old hunting enthusiast from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was on a safari in Kafue National Park, Zambia, with her husband Larry Rudolph when the incident occurred. The couple, who had two children together, frequented Africa for hunting excursions.
Larry Rudolph told authorities that his wife was in the process of putting away her rifle when it discharged, resulting in her death. However, as inconsistencies in his story emerged, the case transitioned from an accident to a homicide investigation.
In December 2021, Larry Rudolph was arrested in connection to Bianca’s murder. It was later revealed that he had been involved in a 10-plus year extramarital affair with his co-worker and office manager, Lori Milliron, who was also implicated in the crime.
Larry Rudolph was found guilty of murder and mail fraud in August 2022 and sentenced to life in prison. He was also ordered to pay millions in restitution and fines. Lori Milliron, on the other hand, was sentenced to 17 years behind bars for her role as an accessory after the fact to the murder.
The story of Bianca Rudolph’s tragic death and the subsequent investigation has been highlighted in various television programs, including CBS’ 48 Hours, Dateline NBC, and ABC’s 20/20.
The case serves as a reminder of the complexities surrounding crimes committed abroad and the lengths to which justice will go to uncover the truth.
