Ghanaian artist, Bashir Annan, known as Gambo, has continued his string of networking meetings with top American music icons.
After holding fruitful meetings with Jermaine Dupri, Timberland, and Jim Jones, Gambo recently met with the rap icon, actor, and entrepreneur, Snoop Dogg.
During their meeting in Los Angeles, Gambo briefed Snoop Dogg about his upcoming musical album, which he is currently recording in the United States. Snoop Dogg was impressed by Gambo’s dedication to his music career and encouraged him to keep pushing beyond his limits.
Additionally, Snoop Dogg hinted at a possible visit to Ghana in the near future. Gambo, who aims to promote the positive side of Ghana and attract diaspora investment, took the opportunity to teach Snoop Dogg a few words in Twi, the Akan language, to help him communicate with Ghanaians in the local dialect when he visits Ghana.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the African pre-Grammy Awards Global Affairs event, an event initiated by the CEO of All We Do Is Work and presented by Godfather Entertainment, with CEO Michael Harris, the co-founder of Death Row Records.
The brief encounter between Gambo and Snoop Dogg was a fun experience, with Snoop Dogg learning a few Twi words, including ‘Akwaaba’ (welcome). It’s clear that the meeting will likely result in positive outcomes for Ghana’s music industry and international relations.
Gambo’s networking efforts have solidified his connections with American music icons and are sure to contribute to his successful music career.
