Socialite Adu Safowah has started an attempt to break a record for the longest speech marathon by an individual, and her mom has reached out to Ghanaian stars to ask for their support.
Director of the movie ‘Nightmare’ Adu Safowah’s mum begged fellow actors and actresses to support her daughter during the speech-a-thon and especially asked Adu Safowah’s colleagues, who had been hurt by her actions, to forgive her.
Ghanaian actress Regina Adu Safowah’s record-breaking attempt began on February 9, 2024, and has been attracting a lot of attention from many people.
One of the reasons why her drumming up support for her marathon speech is considered inadequate is her beef with various celebrities. Besides her acting career, Adu Safowah is famous for her squabbles with other Ghanaian stars, including Akua GMB, a former beauty queen.
Last year, she made harsh comments about Akua GMB when she was going through a divorce. Now, her mother has pleaded with everyone her daughter may have wronged to forgive her as she embarks on this historical attempt.
“I am pleading with Ghanaians, especially everyone she has wronged, to forgive her. Let’s all pray for her because her contest is for the country. I’m pleading with Afia Schwarzenegger and the several others she had wronged. I’m on my knees,” Adu Safowah’s mum said in a recent interview while she rallied support for her daughter.
Some negative reactions have come from the public after Adu Safowah’s mom’s plea. Some netizens have questioned where she was when her daughter was being abusive to others, while another suggested that her attitudes were better than some people on social media.
On a lighter note, Nana Ama McBrown, a well-known actress and media personality, cautioned Adu Safowah about the effects of her controversial remarks.
Despite the verbal warnings, she has been seen at the ongoing speech-a-Thon event, motivating and praying for Adu Safowah. During the play, she was overwhelmed with emotion and went down on her knees.
This plea for forgiveness from Adu Safowah’s mother is an important part of Adu Safowah’s attempt to break the record and seek support from the Ghanaian public, even from those she has previously offended.
