The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Ablah Dzifa Gomashie, has reaffirmed her ministry’s dedication to fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in tourism development across the country.
In a recent launch of the “Accra by Night” initiative, which is a collaboration between the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited, Gomashie emphasized that this project aims to enhance local tourism by offering unique experiences that highlight Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant nightlife, and historical landmarks—all in a safe and organized manner.
The Minister articulated the initiative’s role in spotlighting Ghana’s creative economy, creating valuable opportunities for artists and entertainers, and furthering the vision of a 24-hour economy as championed by President John Dramani Mahama.
“This aligns with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s vision of a 24-Hour Economy, which seeks to drive continuous economic growth and enrich the Black Star experience,” Gomashie stated. She added, “Accra By Night will ensure that the enjoyment of Ghanaian hospitality remains constant, no matter the time of day.”
With this initiative, the Minister aims to establish a continuous offering of quality experiences that promote Ghana’s unique culture, encouraging both locals and tourists to engage with the city after hours.
