Snoop Dogg’s youngest daughter, Cori Broadus, recently revealed that she suffered a “severe stroke”.
The 24-year-old made the announcement on her verified Instagram account, sharing a photo of herself wearing a mask and expressing her distress at the unexpected health crisis. “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she wrote in the poignant post.
Cori, the only daughter of Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus, is also the chief executive officer of the beauty company Choc Factory. She has been open about her battle with lupus, a disease she was diagnosed with at the age of six.
In the past, she has discussed her struggles with the illness and her decision to take a holistic approach by stopping all medication and focusing on natural remedies such as herbs and sea moss.
In a previous interview with People magazine, Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante recalled their initial frustration and helplessness upon discovering Cori’s illness, with doctors unable to provide a diagnosis.
Cori’s decision to take a natural approach to managing her lupus has been documented and she has been making positive lifestyle changes, including working out, drinking lots of water, and embracing herbal and holistic remedies in place of traditional medication.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can cause a range of symptoms, including pain, fever, rashes, and damage to internal organs due to the body’s immune system attacking healthy cells.
Cori’s battle with the disease and her recent health scare has once again brought attention to the challenges of living with lupus and the different ways individuals are managing the condition. We wish Cori a speedy recovery and we hope her journey inspires others dealing with similar health issues.
