Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Cwesi Oteng, has made a strong statement regarding the National Cathedral project, labeling it as a “shame.”

Oteng, who had previously shown support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its initiatives such as the Free SHS policy and the construction of the National Cathedral, expressed disappointment with the current state of the project.

According to the musician, the vision for the National Cathedral has not been realized and has instead become a source of embarrassment.

He criticized the government’s efforts, stating that all they have managed to do is dig an empty pit, describing the unfinished project as a “beautiful pit” and a “shame.”

Oteng did not mince words, asserting that anyone who views the National Cathedral project as a success is, in his opinion, a fool.

Furthermore, Oteng emphasized that he is not affiliated with any political party, despite his previous association with the NPP.

He made it clear that he does not identify as a member of the NPP and challenged anyone to produce evidence of his party membership.

The gospel musician’s outspoken comments come at a time when the National Cathedral project has been a topic of debate and scrutiny within the country.

It remains to be seen how Oteng’s critique of the National Cathedral will be received and whether it will ignite further discussion and reflection on the state of the project.
