Radio Broadcaster Mr. Haglah has been nominated for the Best Reggae and Dancehall DJ of the Year award at this year’s Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
Known for hosting Sun Up Melodies and Musik Box on Hitz FM, Mr. Haglah has made a significant impact in the industry since taking over the Saturday morning show a little over a year ago.
With a deep knowledge and appreciation for classic reggae and dancehall records, Mr. Haglah has been widely acclaimed as one of the best DJs in the genre. This nomination marks his premier recognition from the Merqury Republic-produced event after over a decade.
The 11th Guinness Ghana DJ Awards is scheduled to take place at the Palms Convention Center, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra on November 9, 2024.
Mr. Haglah, also known as Joshua Nii Sackey Allotey, is hopeful to clinch the coveted award and has urged his followers to support him by voting for him as the ‘Best Reggae and Dancehall DJ’ via shortcode 71466#, followed by 537.
A win for Mr. Haglah would add to his impressive repertoire, including being awarded the Best Radio Producer at the 2023 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA.
With nearly two decades of experience in various production roles at Hitz 103.9 FM, he currently serves as the executive producer for the station’s award-winning entertainment morning show, Daybreak Hitz, every weekday.
