Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister Designate for Tourism, Culture and Creative arts, has expressed her commitment to enhancing tourist sites like the Mole National Park in the Savannah Region.
She shared her vision for the Blackstar Experience model, which aims to empower local assemblies to undertake arts, tourism, and cultural projects.
During her vetting before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, she emphasized the need for increased investment in tourist sites like Mole National Park to give them a much-needed facelift.
Abla acknowledged the potential of Mole National Park as a popular destination but highlighted the importance of focusing more resources on its development.
Abla Dzifa Gomashie brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as a Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts during the NDC administration. She played a pivotal role in shaping key initiatives such as the Ghana Culture Policy and the Creative Arts Industry Bill.
In her commitment to the industry, Abla pledged to work diligently to fulfill the expectations of the president and the people of Ghana.
