Singer Spyro, real name Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, has shared his frustrations with the high cost of being a celebrity in Lagos.
In a recent Instagram post, Spyro revealed that he is constantly bombarded with requests for money and gifts, with some fans even resorting to insults if their demands are not met.
The “Who Is Your Guy” crooner expressed his exasperation, stating, “Really hard being a celebrity in this Lagos. I told a guy I don’t have today and that I will see him next day and he rained insults on me.”
Spyro also highlighted the financial burden of constantly giving back to fans, estimating that he spends a minimum of 100k every time he steps out of his house.
The 34-year-old singer emphasized the pressure on celebrities to always give to their fans, noting that everywhere he goes, people expect him to foot the bill. He criticized the entitlement culture among fans and called for more consideration for the well-being of celebrities.
