Kasoa-based Afrobeats artist Don K has vowed to take legal action against Ghana Music Awards organizers Charterhouse if he is not nominated for an award this year.
Despite his debut single “Baba Adey Beg,” Don K has not yet received a nomination, even after making his mark on the Ghanaian music scene several years ago.
In the year under review, Don K released the song ‘May3 Dada’ produced by King Odyssey. In an exclusive interview with Ghana Weekend, Don K expressed his disappointment, stating that he has worked tirelessly and is optimistic about earning a nomination for this year’s Ghana Music Awards.
He has threatened to sue Charterhouse if he is overlooked again, stating that they “dare not fail him this time.”
Don K has also recently released a song called ‘Wonboo Dam Y3’ featuring contemporary highlife musician Benji and produced by Willis Beatz. If he fails to earn a nomination, Don K has made it clear that he will take legal action.
