Highlife music legend, Kojo Antwi, is currently mourning the loss of his mother, Madam Mary Adwoa Nyamaa.
The mother of the iconic Highlife musician passed away on November 13, 2024, at the Mpraeso General Hospital in the Eastern Region.
In a heartfelt statement, Kojo Antwi revealed that his late mother was the inspiration behind his timeless hit song, “Bre bre Anowaa.” Known as “Mr. Music Man,” Kojo Antwi was born Julius Kojo Antwi into a large family with 13 siblings.
He has released 22 albums throughout his illustrious career, with “Bre bre Anowaa” standing out as one of his most successful songs in Ghana and across the African continent.
The passing of Madam Mary Adwoa Nyamaa has deeply saddened Kojo Antwi and his siblings, along with their families.
