The Ghana Tourism Authority recently held its annual tourism awards ceremony at the prestigious Osu Castle Gardens.
The event, which took place on Friday, 25th October 2024, aimed to recognize and honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the tourism and hospitality industry in Ghana.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Hon. Andrew Egyapa Mercer, and his Deputy, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey.
Also present were the board chairman and members of GTA, CEO Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, and other key industry players, as well as representatives from the diplomatic community.
The ceremony was chaired by Hon. Florence Oboshie Sai Cofie, and the Guest of Honour was Togbe Dr. Crystal-Dzirackor, Group Chair of the Crystal TV Group.
A total of 36 awards were presented during the event, including competitive awards, honorary awards, and special awards, to celebrate those who have excelled in promoting tourism in Ghana.
Notable awardees included Citi FM/Channel One TV and Labadi Beach Hotel. The event was further elevated by captivating live performances from highlife superstar Kwabena Kwabena and the Immigration Band, much to the delight of the attendees.
