Fontomfrom Empire unveils plans for Fontomfrom Amandze Art and Culture Festival in 2025

Fontomfrom Empire, known for hosting the prestigious Fontomfrom Amandze Awards, has unveiled plans for a month-long celebration of art and culture.

The Fontomfrom Amandze Art and Culture Festival is scheduled to take place in November 2025, promising to be a vibrant addition to the Creative Arts calendar in the Western Region.

The festival aims to shine a spotlight on local arts, crafts, and cultural heritage, with a goal of attracting tourism and creating opportunities for artists and craftspeople in the region.

In a grand launch and stakeholders’ engagement event at Raybow International Hotel, Fontomfrom Empire’s team lead, Eva Sheita Kumah, expressed her excitement for the upcoming cultural showcase.

Miss Kumah emphasized the importance of recognizing the arts and crafts sector in the Western Region, stating that the festival is a commitment to elevating creative arts, highlighting heritage, and boosting the regional economy.

The festival’s objectives go beyond mere celebration; it seeks to empower local artists, preserve heritage sites, and showcase traditional artifacts.

Fontomfrom Empire aims to promote cultural exchange, increase tourism, and provide employment opportunities within the Western Region through the festival.

The event will kick off with an Arts and Culture Seminar on November 8, 2025, leading up to the grand celebration on November 28, 2025, which will include the highly anticipated Fontomfrom Amandze Awards.

Macall Mensah, a member of the Fontomfrom Empire team, shared exciting details about the festival lineup, including cultural parades, food and crafts markets, historical storytelling, art installations, and live music performances.

Additionally, the festival will feature eco-conscious activities such as clean-up drives, eco-art workshops, and sustainability talks in collaboration with environmental organizations.

The launch event attracted key dignitaries and stakeholders in Ghana’s creative sector, including Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX, Nana Egya Kwamina XI, Mr. Justice Acquah, and representatives from various organizations like the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Environmental Protection Agency.

With a mission to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Western Region and empower its arts and crafts community, the Fontomfrom Amandze Art and Culture Festival in 2025 promises to be a significant cultural milestone.
