JoyNews and Joy Prime are gearing up to debut the first episodes of their exciting new musical band series, E Vibes, this weekend.
The show, titled The Greatest Band, will feature West Africa’s premier tribute and cover live band as they take center stage to share their three-year journey in the music industry.
E Vibes, known for delving into the backgrounds of celebrated personalities excelling in their respective fields, will focus this season on music bands in Ghana.
Dubbed #MusicalBandSeries, the program aims to celebrate and highlight the incredible journeys of Ghanaian musical bands, showcasing their triumphs, challenges, and the bonds that keep them together.
Producer Becky shared her vision for the show, stating, “The idea is to delve into the stories of these talented groups, exploring their humble beginnings, their rise to fame, and the obstacles they’ve overcome along the way.”
Through exclusive performances, behind-the-scenes access, and interviews, the audience will gain a unique perspective on the Ghanaian music scene.
The E Vibes show aims to evoke memories through interviews with musical bands and their rise to success, with the hope that their stories will inspire the younger generation. Since its launch in November 2020, E Vibes has featured some of the biggest icons in music, movies, and politics on the show.
Personalities such as Amakye Dede, Mercy Asiedu, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Yaw Tog, Emelia Brobbey, Nigeria’s Mr. P, Mama Zimbi, D’JA, MzVee, Rapper Edem, Kuami Eugene, Joe Mettle, Kwabena Kwabena, and others have been featured on previous seasons of the show.
