Afrobeats sensation Davido has just announced exciting news for his fans – he plans to release his fifth studio album early next year.
During a recent interview on The Baller Alert Show, the Feel hitmaker confirmed that the highly anticipated album will be dropping in early 2025.
Although he didn’t disclose specific details such as the exact release date, featured artists, or the album’s title, fans can expect a real African record that stays true to his roots.
In addition to his solo project, Davido also shared news about an upcoming collaboration with Chike and Odumodublvck. The collaborative project, titled ‘Funds,’ is set to be released in the coming days.
Davido praised Odumodublvck as the “biggest Nigerian rapper” and likened Chike to American singer Bryson Tiller, hinting at an exciting and diverse musical blend.
Despite opportunities to relocate abroad, Davido expressed his commitment to staying in Nigeria, stating, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now.”
This dedication to his homeland reflects his desire to contribute to the thriving music scene in Nigeria and showcase the continent’s talent on a global stage.
Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 with his hit single Dami Duro and has since released several successful albums, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and his most recent project, Timeless (2023).
