Hiplife artiste, Kwame Yogot, has revealed that he did not receive any payment from Dr. Bawumia after the use of his song “Biibi Besi” during the Assin North by-election campaign.
Speaking to Amansan Krakye in an interview on Cape Coast’s Property FM, Kwame Yogot expressed his disapproval of a political party using his song for their campaign.
According to Kwame Yogot, he has not received any money from Dr. Bawumia after the use of his song “Biibi Besi” during the Assin North by-election held last year. He also mentioned that his former record label members are influential individuals within the NPP, raising doubts about their involvement in any undisclosed financial agreements.
Kwame Yogot revealed that the CEO of his former record label informed him of a certain offer that had been brought to their attention. However, since that conversation, he has not been updated on the proceedings.
Furthermore, he stated that he initially did not consent to the use of his song for the campaign and expressed his lack of interest in such matters.
As the issue remains unresolved, Kwame Yogot remains in the dark about the details of any agreements made concerning the use of his song for political campaigning.
