Ghanaian musician Amerado has made his stance known in the debate surrounding the potential winner of the Artiste of the Year category at the upcoming 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
In a bold statement, the ‘Kwaku Ananse’ hitmaker expressed his belief that any conversation about the award without his inclusion is a display of ignorance and a disservice to the music industry, especially emerging talents.
As the industry gears up for the call for nominations for the prestigious award, other artists being mentioned in the conversation include King Paluta, King Promise, Stonebwoy, Team Eternity Ghana, DopeNation, Kofi Kinaata, and Fameye.
The criteria set forth by the Telecel Ghana Music Awards for the Artiste of the Year category stipulate that the winner must have the highest audience appeal and popularity for the year, along with a successful release and multiple nominations.
Amerado took to his social media accounts to showcase his achievements in 2024, providing a summary of his work throughout the year. This move further solidifies his position as a frontrunner for the coveted Artiste of the Year title.
With the nomination process set to adhere to the established criteria, unless changes are made by the TGMA Board, the anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming awards show continue to grow.
