Following the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Ghanaian media personality Berla Mundi has hit the headlines for her attempt at mastering the official dance routine of the viral Coup Du Marteau song by Ivorian musician Tam Sir.
The song and its danced gained widespread popularity during the tournament, and Berla Mundi was lauded for pulling off the moves in a video shared on Instagram by TV3_ghana. The video that captured the broadcaster expertly learning and performing the famed dance has set the internet alight.
In the footage, Berla displays her moves sitting on the couch as she watched and studied the dance routine on her iPhone.
She seeks to enlist the help of her TV3’s New Day co-host, Kelvin Owusu Ansah, to join her in the dance, and after some convincing, her partner relents. Together, they dance in a clip that has left their followers smitten.
While many alluded to Berla’s beauty in the comment section, others criticized her dancing abilities, calling the routine poor.
The video underlined her versatility, particularly after she hosted the virtual red carpet at the 2024 Grammy Awards event, where she interviewed major celebrities, including Nigerian musician Ayra Starr.
