Popular actor John Bredu Peasah, also known as ‘Drogba‘ from the hit series YOLO, has taken to social media to seek help in his battle against demyelinating disease.

In a recent Instagram post, the actor opened up about his health struggles and revealed that he has been diagnosed with the demyelinating disease. This news has caused a stir among fans and well-wishers who have been following his journey.

Hannah Mensah, the sister of the beloved actor, provided more insight into Drogba’s condition. She shared that his health issues began during a scene shoot for the final season of YOLO, where he started experiencing double vision and light sensitivity. As a result, he has been unable to tolerate daylight or flashing lights.

Currently, Drogba is confined to his home and is receiving regular medical treatments to manage his symptoms. Medical professionals have been conducting tests, including eye fluid extractions, to determine the underlying cause of his condition. Results are still pending, and Drogba has been undergoing treatment for the past two and a half years.

One surprising revelation from Hannah is the lack of public support from Drogba’s fellow cast members, such as Aaron Adatsi, Quuenstar Anaafi, and Makafui Fella. This has raised concerns among fans and the larger audience, who expected more solidarity during this challenging time.

According to the Mayo Clinic, demyelinating disease refers to any condition that causes damage to the protective covering around nerve fibres in the brain, eyes, and spinal cord. It is a serious condition that requires ongoing medical attention and support.
