Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, also known as Ajagurajah, who is the leader of the Ajagurajah Movement, has issued a warning to women concerning the use of wigs and hair extensions sourced from foreign countries.

In an interview on Hitz FM on April 2, 2024, Ajagurajah expressed his belief that using such hair products could lead to misfortune for the wearer. He highlighted the spiritual processes involved in obtaining hair from women in other countries, suggesting that these processes could attract negative energies.

Ajagurajah attributed this trend to Africans’ preference for foreign goods and their reluctance to embrace their natural hair, which he believes contributes to the alleged negative consequences of using foreign hair products.

He stated, “If you’re the type to go for Indian hair, you are putting bad luck on yourself. Indian women hardly cut their hair. They only do that when there’s something wrong. When the priests cut the hair of these women in India, they transfer all those problems into the hair.”

“But they know the African mindset; they know we like hair from other countries, and we go for it,” he added.

Ajagurajah encouraged women to value and embrace their natural hair, discouraging the use of extensions and wigs made from hair sourced from other countries.

It appears that the spiritual leader is advocating for a return to embracing one’s roots and natural beauty.
