Ghanaian actor Prince Kwame Amoabeng, popularly known as Jeneral Ntatia, is calling on the public to hold politicians accountable for their actions.
In a recent interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he expressed his commitment to speaking truth to power, even if it means criticizing the party he previously campaigned for, the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Jeneral emphasized the importance of not allowing politicians to take advantage of citizens’ loyalty to political parties. He encouraged people to speak up and not remain silent when they see things going wrong. Despite facing backlash for his criticisms, Jeneral remains steadfast in his dedication to holding politicians responsible for their promises and actions.
When asked if he would support the NPP in the future, Jeneral mentioned that he would need time to review their manifestos before making a decision. With a background in Theatre Arts from the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana, Jeneral has become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, particularly known for his comedic acting roles.
In addition to his work in films such as ‘Keteke’, ‘Kalybos in China’, and ‘Mad House’, Jeneral has also ventured into stand-up comedy, a new challenge for him. His contributions to theater productions like ‘Second Coming of Nkrumah’ and ‘The Leopards Choice’ have left a lasting impact on audiences.
