Ghanaian hip-hop musician and viral star, AY Poyoo has disclosed that he shares his bed with his pet goat and that the animal represents his status in the music industry.
According to AY Poyoo, he sleeps side by side with his pet goat in his bed. He said his goat is called ‘Homeboy.’
The ‘Washout Africa’ hitmaker was among the celebrities who made a bizarre appearance on the red carpet at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
“We share the same bed. This is my son, Homeboy,” he told Pulse Ghana on the red carpet of the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday.
He said appearing on the red carpet with his goat is daring because no artist is able to pull the same stunt. He further added that his goat confirms his status in the music industry.
“When was the last time you saw an artist on stage with an animal?” he quizzed. “I just want to be different. This [goat] represents me as a GOAT [greatest of all time] in the [music] industry. Who can do this? It’s only me.”
AY Poyoo also disclosed that Wanlov the Kubolor is his favorite Ghanaian artist. He said Wanlov has taught him a lot, adding that the ‘Kubolor’ rapper is well organized.
“I have a lot of favorites, but Wanlov the Kubolor is my favorite. I’ve learned a lot from him and I like how he arranges things,” he disclosed.
