VIDEO: Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi attacked with knife and acid in London

Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi recently experienced a terrifying attack in London.

In a video posted on her Instagram account, the former ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ contestant described being physically assaulted by a stranger wielding a knife.

The video showed Obidi being attended to by first responders as a yellow knife lay on the pavement next to her.

She captioned the video, “Acid attack on me in the U.K. in the middle of a live stream.” Despite the ordeal, Obidi remained defiant, stating, “There’s been a lot of hate in the past but this physical assault is a wake-up call.”

In a plea to her followers, Obidi asked anyone with information about the attacker, described as a black female standing at 5 feet tall, to contact her management team.

She later updated her followers in the comments section, revealing that she was in the hospital receiving treatment. Fortunately, the acid thrown at her was identified as a non-noxious cosmetic item.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that they had received a call about the assault on a woman in her 30s in central London.

The victim had suffered a cut to her hand and had a liquid thrown at her face, which turned out to be non-harmful. The spokesperson added that an investigation was underway as another woman had left the scene before the police arrived.

The dancer’s sister, Nancy, provided further details of the incident on Instagram Stories, recounting how the perpetrator had threatened to harm Obidi with a knife and had poured acid on her face.

Nancy expressed shock and dismay at the attack, emphasizing that Obidi was fortunate to have survived the ordeal.
