Popular Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, has been involved in a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy named Nana Yaw.
The incident occurred in Amakom on Saturday when Lil Win’s car collided with the vehicle carrying Nana Yaw and his father.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that Lil Win was driving at a high speed at the time of the accident, and as a result, Nana Yaw and his father were rushed to a nearby health facility before being transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Unfortunately, Nana Yaw did not survive the injuries sustained in the crash.
The father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah, is currently receiving treatment at the hospital for a leg fracture he sustained in the accident. The vehicle involved in the crash has been taken into police custody as investigations into the incident continue.
The family of the deceased is calling for a thorough investigation into the matter, emphasizing the need for justice to be served. They are also considering legal action and have expressed their disappointment in the lack of attention given to the victims at the accident scene, as there was a focus on the actor.
A relative of the deceased, Yaw Gyamfi, mentioned that both eyewitnesses and police sources confirmed that Lil Win was driving recklessly, veering off his lane. He emphasized the importance of enforcing the law in such situations.
Despite the accident, Lil Win went ahead to attend the premiere of his movie “A Country Called Ghana” in Kumasi on the same night. His managers, present at the hospital, declined to comment on the incident when approached by the media.
As the family prepares to lay their three-year-old to rest, they continue to seek justice for Nana Yaw and hope for a proper resolution to the tragic event.
