Serena Williams’ half-sister has opened up about her heartbreaking journey following the tragic death of her son from an overdose.

The devastating incident occurred two years ago when Sabrina Williams’ youngest son, Alphonse, took his own life at the age of 20 in their Las Vegas home. Sabrina, whose father is renowned tennis coach King Richard, lived with Alphonse and her eldest son, Elijah, who is now 26.

Sabrina discovered Alphonse’s lifeless body when she went to wake him at 7:30 am. He did not respond, and it took her about half an hour before she called 911 after finding him. Despite the tragic circumstances, Sabrina found herself under scrutiny by the police as a “person of interest.”

She further elaborated on the struggle of finding her son deceased and the subsequent questioning by the authorities. Despite facing immense grief and trauma, Sabrina found solace in sprinting to channel her anger and cope with her mental health struggles.

Sabrina’s experience highlights the emotional and mental challenges faced by families dealing with the loss of a loved one, especially under tragic circumstances like suicide. Opening up about her journey can help raise awareness about mental health issues and the importance of seeking help and support during times of distress.
