Singer and entrepreneur, Mr. Eazi, has come out to defend the integrity of Nigeria’s music streaming numbers, dismissing claims of ‘stream farming’ in the country.

A recent interaction on X saw Mr. Eazi responding to a user who suggested that Apple Music should investigate music streams from Nigeria.

Mr. Eazi firmly stated, “There is nothing like stream farming in Nigeria, please! No need for investigations, we are a vibrant music-consuming people hence the numbers you see!”

However, his statement was met with mixed reactions from users in the comments section.

While some agreed with Mr. Eazi and supported his stance, others argued that just because he doesn’t engage in stream farming doesn’t mean it isn’t happening within the industry.
