Veteran entertainment journalist and host of Peace FM Entertainment Review, Kwasi Aboagye, has shared details of a conversation he had with Medikal’s mother regarding her son’s recent behavior.
During the show, Aboagye disclosed that Medikal’s mother gave him permission to publicly discuss and criticize her son’s actions, including his disrespectful remarks towards Despite Media Group. She even went as far as to suggest that Medikal be reprimanded if necessary.
Furthermore, Medikal’s mother extended an apology to the staff of Despite Media and its owner for the offensive comments made by her son during a dispute. She expressed regret for the derogatory comments directed at Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Fadda Dickson, MzGee, and others, emphasizing that such behavior is not characteristic of her son.
The controversy stemmed from an incident during Medikal’s O2 Indigo concert when MzGee asked about his message for Fella Makafui, triggering a negative response from the rapper. This led to Medikal lashing out at Despite Media on social media and accusing MzGee of being unprofessional.
Prior to this altercation, Medikal had taken to Twitter to announce his separation from Fella Makafui, stating that they were no longer together. This sparked a public fallout on social media, with both parties unfollowing each other and Fella removing ‘Mrs. Frimpong’ from her username. Despite the public split, the couple is yet to legally dissolve their 4-year marriage.
