Ghanaian musicians Medikal and D-Black have decided to bury the hatchet and put an end to the recent animosity between them. The rift between the two artists, which played out in part on social media, caused quite a stir, especially in the midst of the Fella Makafui controversy.
In a recent interview on Accra-based Starr FM, Medikal, also known as MDK, expressed his discomfort with how D-Black interacted with his wife, Fella Makafui, at a bar on a particular occasion. This incident prompted Medikal to speak up about their ongoing divorce process.
During the interview, D-Black clarified the circumstances that he felt had been misconstrued and expressed his desire to move past discussions about the couple’s divorce. After some deliberation, D-Black offered a sincere apology to Medikal, which was reciprocated with an apology from Medikal as well.
The recent tensions between the two artists arose when a video circulated on social media showing D-Black lighting a cigar for Fella Makafui, leading to Medikal’s displeasure. Medikal went on to release a diss track aimed at D-Black, calling him out as a fake industry player.
However, D-Black has denied any involvement in the marital issues of the celebrity couple. In a series of tweets, he explained that he only lit the cigar for Fella Makafui at her request and had no romantic involvement with her. D-Black emphasized that he had not even seen Fella Makafui in over two years.
This resolution between Medikal and D-Black marks a positive step in the Ghanaian music industry, showcasing the importance of communication and understanding in resolving conflicts. Hopefully, this reconciliation will pave the way for a new chapter of collaboration and camaraderie between the two talented artists.
