Renowned rapper Jay-Z has come out strongly to deny the serious allegations of sexual assault that have been brought against him in a recent lawsuit.
The 55-year-old hip-hop legend, along with Sean “Diddy” Combs, is being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2000.
The lawsuit was filed by an anonymous plaintiff referred to as “Jane Doe,” who claims that the assault took place after she was taken to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
Shockingly, the lawsuit also alleges that a female celebrity was present and witnessed Jay-Z and Diddy taking turns to assault the underage girl.
In response to these allegations, Jay-Z released a statement through Roc Nation’s X account, where he not only refuted the claims but also accused the victim’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of attempted blackmail and extortion.
The rapper emphasized that the victim deserves real justice, which, in his opinion, can only be achieved through criminal prosecution.
Jay-Z called on Buzbee to pursue a criminal complaint rather than a civil lawsuit, stating that the seriousness of the alleged crime demands a more severe legal response.
The legendary American rapper is adamant that he is innocent of these accusations and is prepared to fight for his reputation in court.
