Award-winning gospel musician, MOG Music, is on a mission to elevate Ghanaian music to new heights by leveraging his connections in the industry.
During an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the ‘Be Lifted’ singer expressed his readiness to assist fellow musicians by using his network to promote Ghanaian music globally.
MOG Music emphasized the importance of showcasing Ghanaian talent on an international platform, particularly in the American music scene.
He stated, “It is the highest pinnacle of marketing when it comes to music and I think it will be a great thing to have a Ghanaian on that turf and also pull some Ghanaians along and get them in there to let the world know the quality of music we have here in Ghana,” in an interview with Hitz FM.
MOG Music shared the impact of connecting with American gospel icon Donnie McClurkin, highlighting how it has enriched his career. Collaborating with McClurkin on ‘Be Lifted’ proved to be a valuable experience for the musician.
“He has connected me to Cece Winans, Israel Houghton, the Winans Brothers, and Phill Thompson. That man has been a blessing to me. It cost me an arm and a leg to bring him but what that he has given me in return is priceless,” MOG Music mentioned.
Furthermore, MOG Music revealed his plans to launch a record label, Levites Records, aimed at nurturing young gospel artists and providing them with opportunities for growth in the industry.
He added, “I want Ghanaian gospel musicians to grow. I think we have that the world should hear. I want to share my connections calculatedly so that nobody will come and pour sand into my gari.”
