Ghanaian comedian Funny Face has recently opened up about a traumatic experience he had after a near-fatal accident.
In an exclusive interview with Kofi TV, Funny Face shared how he felt overwhelmed with guilt and contemplated suicide after realizing he had hit five people, including a child.
The incident took place on Sunday, March 24 2023, around 8 pm at Kasoa’s Kakraba Junction.
Reports indicate that Funny Face’s car struck several pedestrians, injuring three people in the process. Following the accident, the actor was arrested and held in police custody.
Funny Face appeared in court on March 26, 2024, at the Kasoa-Akweley District Court, where he was remanded for two weeks.
However, on Tuesday, April 9, he was granted bail in the sum of GHC120,000 with two sureties. He is expected to reappear in court in four weeks as investigations into the accident continue.
According to sources, two of the victims are currently receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while the other two are being cared for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.
