Ghanaian comedian Funny Face recently sat down for an exclusive interview where he sought redemption for his actions following a near-fatal accident that put the lives of five individuals at risk. The incident resulted in his arrest and subsequent remand in police custody.
In a heartfelt plea to the people of Ghana, Funny Face expressed deep regret for his actions and asked for forgiveness. He stated, “Forgive me Ghanaians, I will never do these again, forgive me for my actions, I regret. I will never do any wrongdoing. Forgive me and give me another chance.”
After appearing in court on March 26, 2024, at the Kasoa-Akweley District Court and being remanded for two weeks, Funny Face was granted bail on April 9, with a sum of GHC120,000 and two sureties required. Ongoing investigations into the accident will see Funny Face back in court in four weeks.
As for the victims of the accident, two are currently receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while the other two are being cared for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.
Despite the unfortunate events that unfolded, Funny Face is hopeful for a second chance and is taking steps toward seeking redemption for his actions.
