A Ghanaian man, Meschach Gyasi Appiah, is causing a stir on Twitter as he aims to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest car journey by an individual.

Appiah’s goal is to travel a whopping 71,000 kilometers, capturing the attention and interest of social media users.

In contrast, Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s attempt to break the world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual was not successful.

She had hoped to surpass the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher but ultimately fell short due to not meeting some of the strict guidelines set by the Guinness World Records.

Additionally, Ghana’s Afua Asantewaa also faced disappointment when she failed to break the longest singing marathon record she attempted in December 2023.

Despite the setback, the Guinness World Records expressed hope that she would make another attempt in the future, acknowledging the inspiration she has provided to her fans.

The Records Management Team cited a violation of the rest break rules as the reason for Failatu Abdul-Razak’s unsuccessful attempt, illustrating the importance of adhering to the stringent guidelines set by the Guinness World Records for record-breaking attempts.
