Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, has recently opened up about a medical mishap that he experienced back in 2015.
The incident occurred when KODA sought treatment at a well-known hospital in Takoradi, alongside his wife and sister, for some health concerns.
In a viral video, KODA shared how the doctor prescribed medication for him and advised him to take it regularly. However, after experiencing adverse symptoms, KODA decided to research the prescribed drugs online. To his shock, he discovered that one of the medications contained sulfur, which was unsuitable for his condition due to his G6PD deficiency.
Expressing his frustration, KODA emphasized the importance of being vigilant as a patient in healthcare interactions. He stressed the need for individuals to question medical advice and conduct research on prescribed medications to avoid potential medical errors.
The video has sparked discussions on social media about patient advocacy and the risks associated with medical inaccuracies.
KODA, known for his talents as a gospel singer, songwriter, music producer, and instrumentalist in Takoradi, sadly passed away at the age of 45 due to reported struggles with kidney complications. However, details surrounding his death remain unconfirmed.
