Several individuals who were involved in a recent accident with actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, are currently receiving medical attention at various facilities, with one victim reportedly in a coma.
The accident took place on Sunday, March 24, and resulted in three of the injured individuals being transferred to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, while another is receiving treatment at a local clinic in Nyanyano Kakraba.
It is a heartbreaking situation for the family of one victim, as the brother revealed that his sibling is currently in a coma at the Nyanyano Kakraba community hospital.
Speaking to Adom News, the brother, Isaac Asare, shared the difficulty they faced in trying to secure proper medical care. They initially tried to get the patient admitted to Ridge Hospital, but faced bed shortages that prevented admission. They then attempted the Police Hospital, only to encounter the same issue.
Given the challenges they are facing, Mr. Asare expressed his hope for divine intervention to facilitate a transfer to a larger medical facility where more comprehensive care can be provided.
In the meantime, Funny Face, along with his manager and colleagues from the film industry, is cooperating with authorities at the Kasoa Divisional Police Command as investigations into the accident continue.
