Popular entertainment personality and Politician, A-Plus, has come out to dispel rumors that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has persuaded him to withdraw his independent candidacy for the Gomoa Central Constituency.

In a recent social media post, A-Plus made it clear that no political figure, no matter how powerful, could influence his decision to run in the upcoming December 2024 elections.

A-Plus expressed confidence in his ability to tackle the challenges faced by the constituency and confidently stated that he foresees a resounding victory over the incumbent NPP candidate. He urged his supporters to disregard any rumors about him stepping down from the race.

Asserting his independence, A-Plus emphasized, “Even though he is the vice president and the NPP’s flagbearer, he cannot dictate my actions. I’ve made it clear that any underhanded tactics in Gomoa Central will backfire.”

A-Plus has launched his campaign with zeal, aiming to unseat Naana Eyiah Quansah, the current NPP MP who has held the seat for two consecutive terms.

The political landscape in Gomoa Central is heating up, with A-Plus firmly standing his ground and refusing to be swayed by external pressure. The upcoming elections are sure to be closely watched as A-Plus vies for a seat in Parliament.
