Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central Constituency, recently addressed the issue of Stonebwoy and his manager, Chief, failing to honor a pro bono booking for his music event.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z program with Kwame Dadzie, Baba Sadiq revealed that he had been trying to reach out to Stonebwoy and his team since the April 11 Salla Fest.

After several attempts, Baba Sadiq finally managed to speak to Chief last week Tuesday and Stonebwoy on Wednesday. During the conversation, they discussed various issues, including the absence of any statement or communication from them regarding Shatta Wale’s outbursts after the event.

Baba Sadiq explained, “I think Chief reached out to my guy Ricky regarding a few things they had seen online and was speaking to me about it, and then there was an opportunity to speak about Salla, and then what they felt about it. For instance, why after the event, there wasn’t any statement or communication from us regarding Shatta’s outbursts? I mean, I did explain to him. There was something also, he brought up that we discussed.”

He also mentioned that Stonebwoy and his team were not comfortable with the inclusion of Shatta Wale in the event lineup, which is why they did not show up to perform at Salla Fest. Despite their absence, Baba Sadiq clarified some of the things Shatta was saying on stage.

It is important to note that there was no payment involved in Stonebwoy’s performance at the event. Baba Sadiq, who is also the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central Constituency, shed light on the situation and clarified the reasons behind Stonebwoy’s absence.
