Accra based artist, Sharon Dede Padiki, has embarked on a remarkable journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon by an individual.

Currently, she is on day three of her seven-day attempt, aiming to paint for an impressive 168 hours in order to surpass the existing record of 100 hours.

Padiki’s marathon painting session is taking place at the Accra Tourism Information Centre, near the presidential palace, Golden Jubilee House.

The talented artist has already completed 72 hours of continuous painting and is set to conclude her attempt on Thursday, March 21.

If successful, Padiki will etch her name in history by surpassing the current record held by a Nigerian artist who painted for 100 hours in the USA back in 2023.

Known for her diverse artistic styles, Padiki’s works can be found in various prestigious locations including luxury hotels, museums, galleries, and exhibitions throughout Ghana.
