The countdown to the 2024 Oscars has begun, and Jimmy Kimmel is making sure that it starts off on a hilarious note.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host recently unveiled a five-minute spoof as a promo for the Oscars. In the promo, he is seen trying to make his way to the Dolby Theater, enlisting the help of some notable names to create an exciting parody of Barbie.
Helen Mirren leads the parody video with her usual powerful voice which mocks her own narration of a Margot Robbie feature. The spoof features numerous recognizable faces including Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, and America Ferrera.
The hilarious promo is so well-crafted that he might as well have used it to open the show. However, the promo’s closing emphasizes that the show will air earlier than usual. The 96th Oscars will be aired on ABC on March 10, at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT.
With the presence of such a star-studded cast in the parody short, Oscars 2024 is shaping up to be an unmissable event.
