Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as A Plus, has openly affirmed his steadfast allegiance to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressing a desire for a lasting partnership with the party.
During an appearance on Channel One TV’s Upside Down program, A Plus, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, clarified that he has no intentions of changing his political affiliation in the foreseeable future.
“I am a member of the NDC. I have never inherited enemies. Currently, I am enjoying my time with the majority. I foresee myself remaining a member of the majority for a long time,” he stated confidently.
A Plus rejected suggestions that his dedication to the party should be evaluated based on formal membership or a party card, arguing that his actions and political alignment are indicative of his commitment.
“If I say I am a member of the NDC, they might point out that I don’t possess a party card, but I align with the majority,” he elaborated.
He also praised the NDC leadership, particularly emphasizing the vision and intentions of former President John Dramani Mahama. “I believe that they have an exceptional leader and a remarkable individual. He harbors good intentions for this country,” A Plus remarked.
