The 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) are in full swing, and headline partner Telecel Ghana is bringing fans closer to their favorite artists with a range of exciting promotions and interactive experiences.

This year, music enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to show their support for their favorite nominees with the exclusive TGMA Data Bundles. These special bundles are named after nominees in categories such as Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Afrobeats Song of the Year.

By purchasing the data bundle named after their favorite nominee in a selected category through the short code 1767 or 700, fans can cast a direct vote for that artist in the race for TGMA glory.

According to Aneth Muga, Acting Director of Consumer Business at Telecel Ghana, this year’s TGMA experience is all about giving fans a stronger voice.

Fans can turn their everyday data purchases into powerful votes for their favorite artists and show their support directly while also having the chance to win great rewards in interactive games.

In addition to the Data Bundles, fans can now upload 5-10 second video shout-outs to their favorite artists via the Telecel Play App with the TGMA Special Shout Outs feature. For a fee of GH¢5, fans can send a personal message and receive 100 free Telecel-to-Telecel call minutes valid for three days.

Furthermore, Telecel is offering customers the opportunity to win prizes with the new Shake, Spin, and Win feature on the Telecel Play App. Users can shake and spin their way to rewards including smartphones, household appliances, food vouchers, cinema vouchers, and more.

With 33 competitive categories up for grabs, the focus is on the voices, sounds, and creative talents that have shaped Ghanaian music from January to December 2024.

Additionally, Telecel Ghana will sponsor the Music for Good Award category, recognizing musicians who have made a positive social impact beyond their music. The winner will receive a plaque and a cash prize of 20,000 Ghana cedis to support their impact project.
