Max TV Issues Apology to Cina Soul for Disparaging Comments
Max TV has issued a public apology to Ghanaian actress and singer Cina Soul after disparaging comments were made about her craft during the Max Morning Show on March 31, 2025.
The offensive remarks were made by guest actor Big Akwes and echoed by the show’s entertainment segment host following the airing of a video excerpt from Cina Soul’s recently released album.
In an official statement, Ricky K.A. Anokye, General Manager of IMax Media Group, expressed the station’s deep regret for the incident and acknowledged the distress caused by the comments.
“Max TV unequivocally regrets the incident and apologizes immensely. This does not reflect our values or standards as a station,” the statement read.
The station emphasized its commitment to addressing the situation and restoring its reputation, stating that necessary steps have been taken to remedy the situation.
Max TV also acknowledged the mixed reactions from the public and took full responsibility for fostering a platform of respect and positivity.
“To Cina Soul, we extend our heartfelt apologies and admiration for your talent and contributions to Ghana’s music industry. We are committed to making amends and endeavor to highlight your works in a manner that celebrates your artistry positively,” the statement continued.
The station expressed gratitude for public feedback and pledged to maintain higher standards in the future.
