Jamaican reggae sensation Kenyatta ‘Jr. Culture’ Hill has delivered a poignant message to Ghanaian dancehall heavyweights Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, advising them to stay away from the gangster lifestyle and focus on their music careers.

Hill, who recently performed at the Kuchoko Roots Festival in Accra, emphasized the dangers of allowing wealth and fame to distract artists from their true passion.

In a heartfelt plea, Hill emphasized that musicians and gangster life do not mix, citing past conflicts between dancehall icons that escalated into violence. He urged Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale to take heed and avoid following a similar destructive path.

Furthermore, Hill expressed his admiration for the growth of reggae music in Ghana, emphasizing the importance of staying true to the genre’s roots and using music as a tool for education and inspiration.

He encouraged young Ghanaian artists to remain authentic and consistent in their craft, highlighting the significance of reggae as a vehicle for spreading positive messages.

Addressing the evolution of reggae music, Hill underscored the need for rebranding while maintaining the core message of peace, love, and harmony. He stressed that despite changes in styles and beats, the essence of reggae should never be compromised.
