Sparrow Studios, a leading film production company in Ghana, has recently launched a YouTube channel to showcase its content to a wider audience. The channel, called Sparrow Station, will feature movies, series, and shows produced by the company.
The launch event took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel on February 25, 2025, where Shirley Frimpong Manso, the CEO of Sparrow Studios, highlighted the company’s achievements over the past 18 years. She shared her journey as a filmmaker, starting with her first feature film, “Life and Living it,” which was a success despite her initial doubts.
Shirley emphasized the power of film to change minds and perceptions, stating that filmmakers are not just storytellers but also agents of change. She announced the launch of SparrowStation on YouTube, noting the platform’s potential to reach a global audience.
The company has also released Sparrow Station apps on various platforms such as iOS, AppleTV, Android, Roku, and Amazon FireTV in 2021.
Additionally, Sparrow Studios is gearing up for the premiere of its new movie, ‘For Love and Country,’ on March 6, 2025. The movie features a star-studded cast including Naa Ashorkor, Lydia Forson, Caroline Sampson, Jackie Appiah, and Melvin Dain, and will be available on the SparrowStation YouTube channel.
Shirley encouraged audience engagement with the Watch to Create model, where viewership inspires new content creation. She emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional African films, series, and shows that showcase excellence.
