Westline Entertainment, the organizers of the prestigious Western Music Awards, have officially opened nominations for the 9th edition of the event. This year’s edition will feature a total of 31 categories, including a new category – Best Female Artiste of The Year.
The eligibility period for this year’s awards spans from February 2024 to January 2025, allowing for a wide range of artists and industry stakeholders to be considered for recognition. The deadline for nominations is set for March 17, 2025, as announced by Nana Kwesi Coomson, the Head of Public Relations for the organizers. The theme for the 9th edition is “Rhythm of Success.”
In a bid to streamline the nomination process, submissions for this year’s awards will be done entirely electronically through the official website: http://www.wmagh.com/submission. The deadline for submissions is also March 17, 2025.
Some of the prestigious categories open for nomination include Artiste of the Year, Best Female Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Ghanaian Song of the Year, and many more. The awards seek to celebrate and honor outstanding talents in the Western music industry across various genres.
