Ghanaian rapper Bashir Annan, popularly known as Gambo, has had a remarkable year in 2024, filled with musical achievements and international engagements.
His EP, ‘1 More Bullet,’ which was released earlier in the year, showcased his talent in hip-hop and featured collaborations with artists such as E.L., Kofi Jamar, and American rapper Jim Jones. The project received widespread recognition both at home and abroad.
Gambo also took his music on a North American tour, performing in various cities including Montreal, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles, among others, alongside Nigerian afrobeats star Young Jonn.
In addition to his music, he has been actively promoting Ghanaian culture on a global platform, emphasizing the role of music in boosting the country’s tourism industry.
One of the highlights of his year was meeting with American rap legend Snoop Dogg, following previous networking encounters with music mogul Jermaine Dupri. These connections hint at potential future collaborations that could elevate his career even further.
Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, Gambo remains optimistic about pushing Ghanaian hip-hop to greater heights on the global stage.
